Polar Bears hitch a ride

We have plenty of ice.
Send more beer!

Since hardly a day goes by that we aren’t bombarded by Global Warming propaganda, occasionally exposed, it might be a good idea to have a look at the evidence. By that I don’t mean politically-motivated tomes such as Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth. What I mean is what evidence exists to support the ideas that Global Warming is either man-made or, in any event, really significant? The answer seems to be very little, and most of that appears to be politically-inspired and/or based on questionable computer models.

What is certain is that the issue is being used as a political wedge to implement such things as a “carbon tax,” allegedly to provide incentives to move away from oil and coal-based energy sources. In other words, it’s merely a scheme to raise taxes; in this case a tax on something universally consumed and known to have an extremely inelastic demand curve. Great for those who make their living from taxes, but not so great for those of us who prefer to do something productive to earn a living.

So, while I support the idea of reducing our dependence on hydrocarbon energy sources — it would relieve us of the need to invade middle eastern countries for the purpose of stealing their oil — I can’t support using government and taxes as a means for achieving that goal. After all, they’ve done such a good job of eliminating crime, drugs and poverty, right? And how ’bout those Iraqis? No, I think the better solution would simply be to eliminate the impediments government puts in the way of anyone who pursues the development of potentially viable alternative energy solutions. Chief among those impediments being taxes and government regulations. But I digress.

Below is a four-part video of a presentation by Bob Carter, an Australian researcher, that torpedoes the science and credibility of those who claim that humans are the cause of global warming, or that we are even experiencing significant global warming at all. It’s divided into four parts (in total, about 34 minutes) so that busy people can digest it in smaller bites. Having seen it, you will come to understand that we have far more to fear from those perpetrating the Global Warming hoax than we do from climate change.

Climate Change: Are humans the cause?
