Who is thees. . . Picture of Miguel Miguel Cartero?

No revolutionary movement can succeed without the vision and guidance of its leaders. GOLF is no exception. The Gun Owners Liberation Front was founded by Miguel Cartero in the wake of the passage of the Omnibus Crime Bill in 1994. Sensing the inability, or unwillingness, of mainstream gun groups to halt the headlong move toward victim disarmament, Cartero realized that gun owners must take the offensive if they entertain any hope of regaining the rights they've lost in the 20th century.

Time and again the mainstream groups have circled their wagons to await the repeated assaults of the savage forces of disarmament. Time and again they have capitulated in a futile attempt to appease these dishonest, yet consistent, barbarians bent on the destruction of one of the most sacred human rights guaranteed to Americans. But time and again, with the ink still wet on the last "compromise", the forces of disarmament have launched their next attack. Never - NEVER - have the mainstream groups launched an attack of their own to regain the ground they lost in the last battle. Instead they have continually blamed their repeated defeats on "the liberal media", or "backstabbing politicians" - rather than their own cowardice.

Like many patriotic gun rights advocates, Miguel Cartero has watched with great dismay the piecemeal destruction of the 2nd Amendment. But the most disconcerting aspect has been the tactic of the mainstream "gun rights" establishment to use the fear of "gun control" to increase its membership and pry more money from it - while, at the same time, lobbying in the back rooms for the very legislation it publicly pretends to oppose.

The last straw came in the aftermath of the passage of the Omnibus Crime Bill during the 1994 election season. The "gun rights" movement went to the wall for many of the same politicians they were publicly lamenting had stabbed them in the back. The time had obviously come for a new approach - and a new group - to defend the right of Americans to keep and bear arms. Thus was born the Gun Owners Liberation Front.

What Does Miguel Picture of Miguel Do For Fun?

The first target of GOLF's ire was U.S. Senate candidate Jon Kyl, R-AZ. In June of 1994, then Congressman Kyl enlisted the help of 20 or so gun rights advocates to gather the nominating petition signatures he needed to have his name placed on the ballot in the Republican primary. He personally assured these people that there could be no more compromise where the 2nd Amendment was concerned - and that was why he needed their help. They took Kyl at his word and went out to gather the signatures he needed. Then, in late August, Kyl rewarded their efforts by voting FOR the Crime Bill. His reward for this duplicity? An A- rating by, and the endorsement of, the Nauseating Republican Apologists.. Similar stories were being told across the U.S. of the "gun rights" establishment rallying in support of traitors like Kyl.

Needless to say, the dedicated individuals whom Kyl betrayed were not pleased - and neither was Miguel Cartero. Over the next two months Cartero set to work preparing his Sink Kyl guerilla fax attack which was launched in late October. This consisted of artwork for a Jon Kyl urinal target, which was broadcast, via GOLF's fledgling fax network, around the state - and even around the country. While it proved to be too little, too late to derail Kyl's Senate campaign, it did provide a model upon which to build a national electronic network of true gun rights advocates.

Now, in 1995, Cartero is taking his network national with the Promissory Newt campaign to give the Republicans the Balls they need to restore our right to keep and bear arms. But he can't do it alone. If you have a computer with a fax/modem, Uncle Miguel Wants You!
