By accident or by design, you have wandered into the cybernetic home of the
Gun Owners Liberation Front. GOLF, as the front is more
commonly known, is a gun rights action network dedicated to restoring the
uninfringed right to keep and bear arms to America's gun owners. That is
our only goal and we hope you will help us to achieve it.
Unlike other similarly named groups dedicated to various purposes, GOLF
seeks to liberate gun owners. As human beings, (unlike owls, trees, art,
and even newts) gun owners have rights, and therefore require liberation
when those rights are violated. Toward that end we intend to use any legal,
non-violent means at our disposal. Currently this involves the creative use
of various means of electronic communication and networking - a
Silicon Militia, if you will. Examples of
GOLF initiatives include Sink Kyl and
Promissory Newt.

We believe, however, that the symbolism is appropriate for the intended
targets.

The modus operendi of GOLF is to point out hypocrisy - as exhibited by
those politicians who pose as the friends of gun owners while, at the same
time, working against them. We believe that these politicians constitute a
fifth column which threatens our rights far more than any overt enemy
possibly could. For that reason our attacks on these fifth columnists are
unabashedly ruthless.
Quite frankly, if you believe that the typical politician deserves more
respect than, say, the typical cockroach, you had better stick with the
mainstream gun organizations. They've made an art of sucking-up to the
very politicians who threaten our rights. GOLF, on the other hand,
isn't in this fight to win friends in politics. We're in it to restore our
heavily infringed right to keep and bear arms. In our opinion, the
sucking-up tactics of other groups have made them a laughing stock in
political circles.
In contrast, our idea is to satirically belittle those hypocrites who pose
the greatest threat to our freedoms. In doing so we can present a viable
threat to the careers of these politicians - thus forcing them to suck-up
to us by passing legislation we want passed. This is entirely
in line with the object of GOLF - which is to achieve your goal with
the fewest number of strokes. In our case, this means the repeal of victim
disarmament legislation with minimal political stroking. It should be
instantly clear how this constrasts with the methods of other groups,
most notably the Nauseating Republican Apologists.
